Curriculum Areas + EOTCThe Thinkers Keys are used as a tool to spark alternative concepts within the topic at hand. They are used in a way that will extend or give a different perspective to the work the children are already doing. I have found that they are a perfect tool to use when children are stuck with an idea or have finished work that might seem ‘too easy’ for the children. There is an almost infinite number of ways to which you can utilise the keys in your classroom teaching. It can range from something as small as a tool for spelling or reading, to greatly extending the thinking behind a scientific experiment.
The Thinkers Keys can be used at all levels, but there are some keys suited to lower levels and some that require further knowledge to be able to utilise to the full extent.
